International Economy and Trade, the first undergraduate major fully delivered in English begins to run in this semester owing to the two-year-long course preparation, faculty construction and recruitment publicity. 68 students are admitted, of which 18 come from UK, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Kazakhstan, South Korea and other 6 countries, making up 26% of the total.
ECUST is dedicated to the construction of English-taught undergraduate courses for the purpose of strengthening cooperation at an international level, enlarging the number of overseas students, enhancing the teaching quality as well as promoting the double first-class initiative. Based on the realization of delivering classes in International Economy and Trade in September 2016, CIE, in collaboration with Office of Academic Affairs, School of Business, School of Science, School of Information Science and Engineering, has worked to set up English-taught courses like Higher Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, University Computer Foundation, C Program Design, Multimedia Technology. Furthermore, they have made it successful International Economy and Trade fully delivered in English intended for overseas students in September 2017.
